The International Events division at Nexus Business Media (NBM) delivers a range of global events in the Wines and Spirits and Electronic sectors. Nexus Business Media organise The European Conference and Exhibition on Optical Communications (ECOC) which is the most prestigious and largest optical communications event in Europe. The event is held annually in and hosted in different major European cities each year.It attracts an international audience of over 5000 from the entire optical supply chain,and covers the hottest topics within the industry. The event usually has up to 300 exhibitors.

NBM had an existing in-house events system however this was proving difficult and expensive to maintain; and didn't have many of the new features needed. After a thorough evaluation process, NBM selected Coconnex for the ECOC events.

Nexus are utilising many of the core Coconnex modules including Interactive Floorplan, Exhibitor Management and Visitor Engagement. The Coconnex solution was customised to fit NBM's very specific business processes and requirements. During the customisation, new enhancements and usability features were added to ensure that the migration was as smooth as possible for the NBM events team.
