The Global Mobile Internet Conference 2012 is Asia's largest and most elite mobile Internet conference. The conference is specifically designed to bring together experts from the mobile or pocket Internet industry. At the GMIC conference, the industry leaders get the opportunity to connect with each other, interact, learn from other industry experts and promote their initiatives. The event is hosted by the Great Wall Club (GWC). The GWC is a group of the world's top executives and leaders in the mobile Internet industry.
In its second year, the GMIC was hosted at the Chinese National Convention Centre and was attended by over 5,100 attendees.
Coconnex in Action
The Great Wall Club used the Coconnex modules for the Global Mobile Internet Conference (GMIC). As networking was a key element of the event, GMIC used Coconnex’s Networking Accelerator with a multilingual application. The application helped the users to read and understand the text in both English and simple Chinese. The NA module helped the delegates send messages, set up meetings and organize their schedule in advance.
Additionally, the multilingual mobile application, added to the quick connectivity as the delegates could access their event details, send messages and set up meetings on their mobile phones. This helped in managing their schedule better.
The GMIC 2012 Beijing was attended by 5261 delegates from 32 countries, 156 speakers and 204 exhibitors.
